Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually want to know before commissioning a custom fursuit, answered by me. Still stuck? Message me on any of my socials.
How do I commission a fursuit from you?
Quote forms open one month before the commission slots. Fill in the form with a clear reference sheet and the options you want, and you will receive a document with your request details and a quote price. To apply for a slot you need a quote document from the previous month's opening. In the week after applications close you get an email confirming whether you have a slot, and you have 48 hours to reply and claim it. A quote on its own does not guarantee a slot.
Are the prices on this website the final price?
No. Everything shown here is a base price. The final quote depends on the number of fur colours, the fur types, how complex the design is, and extras such as horns, hair, feathers or plush jaws. Fill in a quote form to get an exact price for your character.
How does payment work?
Payments go through PayPal or bank transfer, in Euros. Any PayPal fees are at your own expense. When your commission is confirmed you pay a 30% down payment, which covers material costs and claims your slot. That down payment is non-refundable. The rest can be paid in full or spread over a maximum of three pre-planned instalments. Commissions up to €300 are paid in full. Your suit ships once it is paid off.
How long does it take to make a fursuit?
I do not work with deadlines. I aim to finish commissions as quickly as I can, but I will not sacrifice the quality of my work to hit a preset date. You will get an estimated completion date, which can shift during the build. You will hear from me at least once a week, even in weeks where there is not much to show.
How do I get my suit, and do you ship?
Three options: pick it up at the studio by appointment, pick it up at a convention or meet by appointment, or have it sent as a secured shipment with PostNL. Shipping costs are paid by the customer unless we agree otherwise.
Is there a warranty on your fursuits?
Yes, CTC fursuits and parts come with a 12 month warranty covering torn or ripped fabrics, torn or ripped seams, production errors, and mistakes on my end. If something is wrong or missing, contact me within 30 days of delivery with pictures. Repairs that fall under the warranty are free; anything else is charged depending on the severity. I only repair clean suits. The warranty ends if the suit was used for 18+ purposes, handled carelessly, damaged on purpose, altered, or if the terms of service were broken, and it does not carry over to a new owner.
Do I need a reference sheet of my character?
Yes, and it is your responsibility that it is clear and accurate. If you do not have one, I can make one for you for an extra fee.
What do you need from me for a full suit?
A duct tape dummy (DTD) of your body. It has to be made properly so the sizes are accurate, and it has to arrive undamaged. The costs and materials for the DTD are yours. You can fill it and bring it by appointment, or send it empty. If you are not sure how to make one, ask me and I will send you tutorials.
How exact do my measurements need to be?
Please give them accurately, in centimetres. Because everything is made by hand, the finished product can still differ 1 to 3 cm from the measurements given. If the measurements turn out to be wrong and something does not fit as a result, you lose the right to a refund, but I am happy to take the item back in for adjustments for a fee.
How old do I have to be to order?
You have to be at least 18 years old.
Can you make a suit in another maker's style?
No. I have my own style and techniques and I will not deviate from them on request, and I do not work on other makers' bases or patterns. I am very happy to try features I have not done before, such as a detailed maw or retractable claws, and to make species I have not made yet.
Do you make suits with 18+ features?
No, I do not make suits with special features for 18+ or NSFW purposes.
Do you have pets in the studio? I have allergies.
I own two cats and I keep them away from my studio as much as possible. If you have any related allergies, please wash your suit according to the care guide you get on delivery.
Can I resell my suit later?
Yes, but please contact me about the sale and the new owner first. You are not permitted to sell it for more than the original price, and the warranty does not carry over to the next owner.
